HI-BRIX SUPERSWEET CORN

RAQUEL R. PABALATE is all smiles as she is about to taste the Hi-Brix hybrid supersweet corn during the recent open hous of Allied Botanical at its experimental farm in Tayug, Pangasinan. This new hybrid produces more than 80% Class A ears which are sweet and tender, ideal for the fresh market as well as for processing.
The ears are filled with kernels up to the tip. It also has a very good husk cover. Sweet corn is a profitable crop to grow but production should match with what the market can absorb because the ears have a short shelf life.
