The 2019 Taichung World Flora Expo will be one of the destinations of a 7-day educational farm tour from March 5-11, 2019 that will be led by Toto Barcelona of Harbest Agribusiness and Zacto Tours with the collaboration of Jane Chen, a travel agent who specializes in the visits of leisure farms in Taiwan.
Before proceeding to the Flora Expo, the group will visit the Toucheng Leisure Farm in Yilan county where the participants will have the chance to meet the young farmers of Yilan. Leo Fang, who used to be a marketing executive of the Taiwan Leisure Farm Development Association, will conduct a lecture on the program of encouraging the young Taiwanese to undertake agribusiness projects.
By the way, Taichung World Flora Expo is one of the biggest horticultural events in Taiwan involving not only flowers and ornamental plants but also a wide array of fruit trees and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are very much a part of the horticulture industry in Taiwan.
The participants will enjoy one whole day and a half at the Flora Expo so they will have enough time to observe the latest developments in flowers, foliage ornamentals, fruit trees and vegetables.
The participants will also visit the King Car Orchid Garden, the Hsinchu Seedling Farm and the Miaoli Flower Home and Leisure Farm. The group will also proceed to the Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village to see the cherry blossoms and also to the Tai-yi Ecological Farm which has strawberries, flowers, vegetables, honeybee and more.
