PEACH MANGO: Eaten Fresh Or For Salad

Peach Mango, otherwise known as R2E2, is a hybrid from Australia that tastes very nice as fresh ripe fruit. It is also excellent for making salads, made into cubes and combined with other salad materials that could be other fruits or vegetables. Its firm flesh is sweet with very nice flavor – none of the so-called “medicine” taste sometimes experienced with imported varieties.

The ripe fruit is very attractive with its red and yellowish tinge. The fruit could weigh more than a kilo and one fruit will be enough to make a salad for a small family, combined with other ingredients.

Peach Mango cubes can be eaten as is or mixed with other ingredients to make a salad.

The latest fruits were harvested on May 12, 2018 at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. The variety has been propagated in the vicinity of about a thousand grafted seedlings. Many fruit enthusiasts have availed themselves of the variety but nobody is known to have planted it in really big numbers.
