Perhaps people in the Philippines who are in the food business can take some ideas regarding two favorite snack foods in Thai food courts. One is the serving of half cheek of the ripe mango that is peeled. The rind is used as base of the peeled half cheek of the mango.

This is placed in a plate where really nice glutinous rice is included with kakang gata. The price per plae is 45 bhat or about P75 in Philippine money.

Another favorite snack food is the sweet water of the Nam Wan coconut. This is a dwarf variety that is very productive. When large planting materials are used, the plant will bear fruit in three years.

In the Philippines there are already planters of this variety in the Luzon area. When they will be producing, it is hoped that there will be enough to go around in food courts, in supermarkets and other outlets. One sweet coconut is priced also at 45 bhat.
