TWO agricultlural trade shows will be launched in Myanmar and Thailand before the end of the year under the auspices of the organizers of Agritechnica Asia – the German Agricultural Society (DLG) and VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific based in Bangkok.
The event in Myanmar will be held on November 29-30, 2019 near the capital city of Naypyitaw. It is called “Agritechnica Asia Live – Field Demonstrations of Agricultural Machinery.” The Thailand expo, on the other hand, will be held in Bangkok on December 2-3, 2019. It is dubbed “Agricultural Conference & Exhibition – Prepare Yourself for Tomorrow’s Agribusiness”.
Both events will largely focus on farm mechanization which is increasingly becoming important so that farmers will become more efficient and be more competitive in the world market. Mechanization could cut the cost of production. It could also result in high quality farm products that command a higher price in the market. In other words, farm mechanization can make farming more profitable for farmers. It could equip them with the technologies that can address the challenges of the times.
